Class is in session…

Good morning class, please everyone take your seats and settle down now….good. OK then, eyes forward and let us begin…
I just wanted to take a few minutes and explain the reason for my “Lessons” series of videos on YouTube. First of all let me assure you that I am nobody, I’m not famous, and I’m certainly not a “para-celebrity”, as always I am just one man with an opinion-who is not afraid to voice that opinion. The paranormal field is no different than the real world, there will be those who bite their tongue’s,  those who are afraid to speak up, and those who are confident enough to simply share their opinion-even if people don’t agree.
Can you guess which category I fit into? Haha see I don’t expect everyone to agree with me-and that is fine, because I don’t agree with a lot of things either. I do however respect people’s right to say what they want, even if I think they are stupid or pompous douchebags for what they said.
The other aspect is this: Unlike some people out there who count everytime they ever stepped in a cemetery as an “investigation”, I don’t bust my ass looking for places. People call me for help. When not busy with that I look for ways to keep myself busy and hopefully do something that people enjoy. “3 Minute Haunting” on YouTube is one little project, and most recently “Lesson #1” and “Lesson #2”. Just little videos where I offer my advice to people in the paranormal-even if they didn’t ask for it. Agree or disagree with me at least I know what I’m talking about, enough to at least share some knowledge with everybody. And that is my only goal around here, to inform people and illuminate the path to the truth.

                   Stay classy paranormal,

Putrid Smells=Demons=ParaBull

It is time for a rant instead of just a blog.  I normally do not rant, but this time I am.  You see I was watching one of the “Ghost Haunting” shows the other night.  (I am not naming the show because I do not want to get sued because they can’t take the truth.)  And as soon as they walked in they smelled a “putrid smell” and of course they automatically said that it was a “Demon”.  Really?  How do you know this?  You didn’t even take the time out to try and find where the supposed smell was coming from.  It could have been anything or nothing.  It could have been a dead animal, the heating and/or air unit, something that was used in cleaning, or the great possibility of someone’s body odor.  It is called debunking.  Which is something we as professionals are supposed to do.  Even if it can NOT be debunked does NOT mean it is a demon.  Some believe in demons and some don’t, but either way a putrid smell or odor does not mean demon or any other entity.  I really wish that people would stop trying to turn anything and everything into something evil or paranormal.  I am beginning to believe that people want to scare people more than help them and if this is the case it is wrong and you are the evil one in the place.  If someone in the paranormal field is doing this then they need to find another profession.

I do not believe that some of us realize what grief and pain and horridness that we put people through.  And by doing this it can be very dangerous.  I know for a fact that anyone can make anyone believe something that isn’t true.  It isn’t hard to convince someone they are smelling something that they really are not smelling.  Why? Because we as individuals want to believe and trust in the so called “professionals” that are supposed to be there to help people out.

Convincing someone that they have a “demonic entity” especially when they do not can be damaging in so many ways from health to financial.  By this I mean they can be so stressed out by this that health issues occur or they convince themselves, because of you, that they are the reason for it and they become depressed and full of anxiety that it could end up in homicide or suicide.  (I have come across this before…..I also clean up crime, trauma, and death scenes and i can tell you that when I find out the reason someone has killed themselves because they couldn’t take the evil entities that are “lurking” about, it upsets me so much especially when I find out it is because someone else told them that there was one around.  Until you come across this personally I do not think you can understand the impact it has on a person.)

So I am saying this today to EVERYONE in or out of the paranormal industry…..STOP!!!!!  We are not here to ruin people’s lives but instead to help them.

It can also put people in financial ruins.  Example:  A newly married couple just sank $200,000 into their first home and haven’t been there but a couple of months.  New area, new jobs, new marriage.  Now they have been told they have a demonic entity, and they can not handle this so they sale their new home for a lot less than what they paid so they take a loss, they have to start over so they take a loss, in the end 9 out of 10 times the marriage then falls apart due to financial problems, once again another loss, and all because of us not doing our jobs properly.

Once again to those in or out of the paranormal industry…….STOP!!!!!

If you want to be called a professional then act like one.  And for those of you who are clients or might become clients, do not be afraid to speak up, ask questions, disagree if you need to, but DO NOT LET someone or a team come in a tear you and your family apart just because they want to say they have a haunting under their belt.

What most people in and out the paranormal field do not realize is that we are supposed to be disproving these things.  And then and only then when it can not be explained or debunked then maybe you have a haunting.  And there is no shame in getting a second opinion or someone to come in and help you with an investigation if you can not debunk something.  Some of us are better at that than others.

Keeping It Real

Truth Is Bulletproof

So many of us talk about wanting answers, but so many of us are willing to accept whatever is said to us.  It doesn’t matter if is believable or not nor if it is so far fetched that a five year old would know better.  We just accept what is said without question and go on. The sad part about this is how much damage this could and does cause. If you want the truth then why listen to lies?
We can and should do better than that.  If you are in a relationship or at work or around a friend and something sounds wrong or like a lie you question it so why not question the aspects of life and or life after death.  Are we really that gullible or just plain dumb?  Truth is bulletproof. And by that I simply mean that theories and lies can be blown away with the holes in the stories. But truth is truth and it is there no matter what.
That’s why here at Paresistance we thrive on truth.  Isn’t it the responsible thing to do?  Especially since we have so many television shows and so many who only seek fame and fortune instead of truth.
As you read in an earlier post being told the lies that so many seem to tell and even more seem to believe can be dangerous and hurtful.  Is this what you want?  Is this what you seek and desire?  If so go ahead and continue to watch and believe those who call themselves “professional ghost hunters”  or as I call them “the remakes of ghost busters” .
If we all take a stand saying we want the truth and the truth is all we will accept then the truth is what you shall receive.  Seek and learn the truth for the truth is bulletproof.
I will not apologize if this offends anyone simply because I believe in truth and if I say I’m sorry then I would be lieing.  Nit to mention if you get offended then the chances are you are guilty of this.  So instead of being offended change it and share what we believe in which is truth.

“Keeping It Real”

3rd times a charm right? Oh it better be, this will be the 3rd time I have attempted to write this blog. My computer clearly has betrayed me, now I’m blogging on my phone and this better work.
Well this is a heads up for all the paranormal “weekend warriors” out there, who probably don’t read this blog because we discuss the truth over here. When all you want is a pat on the ass from the community you don’t care about the truth.
A few years ago a woman down on Cape Cod killed her daughter trying to exorcise the devil from her. She was shoving something down the girl’s throat and choked her to death. Was this a case of genuine possession? Or was the mother just crazier than a shit house rat? I couldn’t tell you, unlike some people on this field I don’t pretend to know everything, or claim to be an expert, I have my opinion and if people don’t care for it oh friggin’ well….
Any moron can buy a recorder and a camera, then get their idiot friends to go trespass in a cemetery and call themselves a paranormal team-doesn’t make you anything but part of the problem. That’s another story…
Mental illness and medication issues….the potential explanation for all sorts of “paranormal activity”, hallucinations, auditory hallucinations, paranoia, panic attacks, all could be symptoms of certain mental disorders, or side effects of medication. Always ask your client about any history of mental illness or medication they may be taking. It could directly affect your investigation or your team. I happen to like my team, so I am not sending E.N.E.M.I. in anywhere where the clients may be unstable or even dangerous.
We recently took down a team who thought they could go into a home where they knew the son had mental issues, and claim he was possessed by a demon. This led to a psychological break and an attempted suicide after that team said he didn’t need to take his anti-depressants….bullshit.
We are there to investigate and debunk claims of paranormal activity, we are not therapists, psychologists, or pharmacists, know your friggin’ limitations- lives could hang in the balance. Just do your homework people, there’s a lot of shit you need to know about in the paranormal that doesn’t concern ghosts or spirits…knowledge is power- so arm yourself. Of course if your just a thrill seeker and learned all you know from Ghost Adventures, just stay the hell out of peoples homes…they don’t need para-tards like you making things worse…

                Stay classy paranormal,

Rick Hale: Our First Guest

We would love to welcome our first guest, Rick Hale.  The following is word for word what Rick said.  I hope you enjoy it as much as we do here at The Paresistance.  All comments and feedback are welcomed.  *CJ and April*

My fascination with psychical research began in 1982 when I was 8 years old. I was spending the night at my grandparents house on the Northwest side of Chicago, IL. I got up to use the bathroom and witnessed an elderly woman walk out of the bathroom that wasn’t my grandmother. She looked down at me and smiled she then turned and vanished. I always joke that I knew about the dead before I could ride a bike. In the summer of 1992 at 18 I started to investigate. My first investigation was a young girl that claimed to be getting harassed by what we now call shadow people. As I was addressing these entities one appeared and shoved me. Since then I have investigated numerous private homes and businesses either solo or with larger groups. Beginning in May 2008 I began writing for and co-hosting Paranormal Underground Radio at thursday nights 8-10 p.m. central. My main area of research is psychic ability and how it relates to life after death research. Over the years I have met several who claim a Psi ability but can count on one hand those that do. I’m very much concerned with what the field has become due to the massive influx of TV shows. I understand that they are for entertainment and I rather enjoy a few. However, the shows have turned a serious field of scientific inquiry into a sensationalized joke. Take demons for example if demons were as numerous as the shows claim then you could probably get a two for one deal on possession at the local supermarket. As a Buddhist I don’t believe in the fallen angel paradigm that has been defined by western christianity. If these beings exist at all then they are some kind of special order of spiritual being. Provoking has done a lot of damage to the field. People see us as foul-mouthed hooligans. There is little to no professionalism in the field  right now. And it saddens me that many use this as a means to gain fame. I’m not saying cancel the shows but they need to be held to a higher standard. People are watching and waiting to discredit the whole thing.

Heroes and Villains

Y’all want to know why April and I get along so well? So well that we combined forces for this new project? Simple really, we both bought tickets for the same train of thought. This train in particular isn’t always easy to find in the paranormal community-in fact it seems harder to find everyday. Let me explain….
When you first decide you would like to start a team or just get involved in the paranormal somehow, you are going to meet a lot of people-everybody and their grandmother has a paranormal team these days. Sadly with quantity does not come quality, like too much water and not enough Kool-Aid things get watered down and they taste like shit. Same applies to the paranormal field.  E.N.E.M.I. has spent the last year and a half at war with some of these “diluted” teams and individuals, in an effort to remove these cancers from the field. Make no mistake people, just like the real world not everyone in the paranormal community is on the level…in fact there are some serious scumbags and shady people and teams out there. Be aware, research a person or team before you get involved, and if different people are saying the same negative things about a team then chances are it is TRUE.
I say all this after Danielle from my team stepped up last night and did a scathing interview with Maine Ghost Hunters about a certain person and his team. I threw my 2 cents in at the end as well 😉 Here is where perception is key-because I know E.N.E.M.I., and myself even more so have been attacked as “haters”, “trouble makers”, “not a real team because we haven’t done a ton of investigations”, I was called “an angry young man”, ” a gangbanger”, and people even said that ” I’d be in trouble if we ever met face to face”. Kind of crazy huh? lol
Well I am a “hater” because I hate all the fakes and posers in this field, I am a “trouble maker” because I make trouble for all the para-scum, if I counted everytime I walked through a graveyard as an “investigation” I would have a ton of investigations too, “angry young man” well I turn 34 in July so I ain’t getting any younger here-but I definately am angry at how some people in this field give the fakes a free pass and don’t say anything, “gangbanger” haha well to be honest I have never been a gang member although I did serve a 2 year sentence back in 1999 on the gang block at Middleton House of Correction. Did you catch that? It is called honesty and it is something sorely missing from a large chunk of the paranormal community-my life is an open book if you ask me I will tell you, I don’t try and cover my past like a few people in the field that I know of….
If “villain” is now a term used to define someone who exposes the truth, tries to help and protect people, and stands up against all the bad shit in this field….then a villain I am, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
